I do not really agree with what these articles are saying. Even though a lot of jobs do not require a college degree, it still is good and looks good to have one. Experience is always preferred by an employer. While job experience may outshine a degree in some cases, having a degree will better enable you to obtain that job experience. With no degree, you are limited to only jobs that do not require a degree. With a degree, you can still get hired in a job that does not require a degree but it opens up the opportunity of getting hired in a job that does require a degree. Thus, having a degree allows for you to be more picky about where you want to work. Most higher paying jobs require at least a college degree. It depends on the person, if you want to be better off then you should go to college. If you don't mind being limited and less better off, then you don't have to go to college. My dad went to college for criminal justice but did not pursue that career and he's having trouble finding a well-paying job now. It's important to know what you want to do early on and stick to it.
